Sports Film Lab / Istanbul International Sports Film Festival proudly presents 

The Istanbul International Sports Film Festival, to be held between March 26-29, 2026, will create a platform to support producers and directors who want to make sports-themed short films and documentaries in realizing their projects. This platform is called Sports Film Lab. During the festival, a jury formed to evaluate the submitted projects will review them and select the projects deemed worthy of support. It is anticipated that these projects will receive support during the production and post-production processes.

Sports Film Lab application requirements:  

Anyone with Turkish nationality can participate.  

To participate in the competition, sportsfilmlab@isff.com.tr address together with the requested documents. 

Documents required for application; 

•  CV of the producer or director, (maximum 250 words) 
•  Film credits (maximum 250 words) 
•  Approach text of the film (for documentary) (maximum 250 words) 
•  Synopsis of the film or script if completed (for fiction film application)  
•  Draft budget of the movie  
•  Opinion of the director or producer (maximum 250 words) 

Application deadline March 10, 2026

The scripts must be completed and not yet turned into a movie.  

There are no age restrictions.  

The applicant must be a real person. Applications made under a pseudonym are not accepted.  

The applicant is responsible for copyrights.  

Applications received after the application date will not be accepted.  

Finalists will be announced 2 weeks after the deadline.  

Owners of the finalist projects March 26-29, 2026 will make their presentations within the scope of the festival. 

The films to be supported in production and post-production processes will be announced at the closing of the festival.  

The jury will select one short film and one documentary film project to receive post-production support (color and sound mixing).

The author accepts and declares that the work he/she applies for is his/her own.

The conditions of participation in the competition consist of fifteen (15) articles, including this article.
