The Istanbul International Sports Film Festival is being organized under the leadership of documentary filmmaker Gökçe Kaan Demirkıran.

 

The festival aims to be a new platform for sports-themed short films and documentaries, while also supporting directors and producers who want to create films in this genre.

 

At the very center of life, sport is also a stage for great narratives. The number of sports-themed films in Turkey has been increasing in recent years. Our festival aims to bring together actors, producers and directors who make films with a similar theme both in Turkey and around the world. Taking place in May 2025 in Istanbul, we aim for our festival to become a tradition and to continue developing every year.
