Ezio is a young man on the run. He reaches a fountain where he meets three little girls who begin to "play" with the tarot cards. Each card is a symbol of a specific episode in Ezio's story. From his childhood room to the Zonderwater prison camp in South Africa, an emblematic place where his destiny will be fulfilled. Here the prisoners are engaged in sports. Ezio discovers fencing. Forced detention thus turns out to be the crucial moment of his change. His real birth.

Without any visible chronological order, a visionary time travel is slowly revealed. Ezio confronts the nightmares of the past; he ponders in bewilderment his future as a fencing coach to the greatest national athletes; he wakes up in a new future. Everything is complete. Ezio walks by where little fencers are dueling. A card falls to the ground. A very young fencer notices it. He takes the card. Only he will know which card it is. It's only a matter of time before a new destiny opens up.
