Sports Film Lab / Istanbul International Sports Film Festival proudly presents 

The Istanbul International Sports Film Festival, which will be held for the first time in 2025 between May 7-10, is creating a platform that will support producers and directors who want to shoot sports-themed short films and documentaries to realize their projects. Within the scope of the festival, a jury will be formed to evaluate the projects that apply for the festival and will review the projects during the festival and determine the projects that they deem worthy of support. It is envisaged that these projects will be supported in production and post-production processes.  

Sports Film Lab application requirements:  

Anyone with Turkish nationality can participate.  

To participate in the competition, sportsfilmlab@isff.com.tr address together with the requested documents. 

Documents required for application; 

•  CV of the producer or director, (maximum 250 words) 
•  Film credits (maximum 250 words) 
•  Approach text of the film (for documentary) (maximum 250 words) 
•  Synopsis of the film or script if completed (for fiction film application)  
•  Draft budget of the movie  
•  Opinion of the director or producer (maximum 250 words) 

Application deadline March 1, 2025

The scripts must be completed and not yet turned into a movie.  

There are no age restrictions.  

The applicant must be a real person. Applications made under a pseudonym are not accepted.  

The applicant is responsible for copyrights.  

Applications received after the application date will not be accepted.  

Finalists will be announced 2 weeks after the deadline.  

Owners of the finalist projects May 7-10, 2025 will make their presentations within the scope of the festival. 

The films to be supported in production and post-production processes will be announced at the closing of the festival.  

The jury will select 1 short film and 1 documentary film project to receive production (40.000 TL) or post-production (color and sound mixing) support from FilmDeney. 

The author accepts and declares that the work he/she applies for is his/her own.  

The conditions of participation in the competition consist of fifteen (15) articles, including this article.
